i\m not too happy about this,
so let’s view-heard this video, and let’s go to build-install-config
got the new RAID card from ARECA,
i will build in on next week
it’s a 12 channel sata II card – implemented 3xSAS port inside
photos on next week!
| Average Duration Recorded per day | 48.07 hours |
| Total Duration Recorded | 1027.53 hours |
under the testing period the server is very good with win7 64bit, no errors, 24/7 uptime
BTV is working perfectly
i made some changes on the webadmin site:
- bottom of the program guide site there is a channel switch: “Jump to channel…”
on the dropdown list the list isn’t the same names of above, it is using the original names from prgguide:
there is a line in the “Guide.aspx” sourcecode:
writer.WriteContent( UserChannels[i].Num + " - " + UserChannels[i].Name );
i changed the last “Name” to “CS”, and then it is OK! ![]()
writer.WriteContent( UserChannels[i].Num + " - " + UserChannels[i].CS );
and some other changes will post later…
up and running….nicely…..
no errors since 1 week
4 x Hauppauge HVR-2200 cards – 8 tuner – with hardware MPEG-2 encoders
5 records, 2 wmv convert, 1 smartchapter generating, 2 live viewers in the same time
ok, vista 64 bit version up running on URSULA
all 4 tuner cards installed, and can be use
everything is working fine…
the Beyond TV, the XMLTV importer, the recordings, the cards
BUT, today…….WIN7 64bit is coming…….
hasta la vista, baby!
xp dropped to the system…some fights with the drivers but everythings is running
then dropped to tuner cards in…..it isn’t working under xp sp3 32bit, “Code 10″ error, the hardware cannot be started, nice
tried several drivers, other PCIe slots, everything
i saw on the card box and on several forums, this card is working only on MCE or vista….interest,
ok, i dropped a 64bit vista to the system, fighting with the drivers again, up running
let’s see the tuner card…..same problem!!!! “Code 10″ error!!!….!@$!@#%
now i’m joined to the hauppauge UK forum, and drop question about this card xp drivers, because the latest drivers links isn’t working
they fixed the link, downloaded the new driver and voila! the card is working under vista 64bit and under xp sp3 32bit too!!!
nice…
so, i hate vista, but need 64 bit for the large RAID disks and for the memories….
then i tried to install a 64bit xp….ahum, installed, fighting with drivers again etc..etc…
and then i realized, that xp isn’t a 64 bit! it’s only 32 bit version…cool
i dropt everything to the trash, and now i’m going to back to the 64bit vista version
it’s dropped to the system now
i will make soem videos about the tuner cards installations, the Beyond TV installations, and the XMLTV importer installations under vista 64bit
stay tuned!
yesterday got everything to start….new chassis,mootherboard,cpu,cpu-coolers,memory,hdds,tuners
never thinked it will be more than 7 hours to build that machine
1., the original pack
airshroud – you cant use it, because of the CPU coolers
.
.
.
2., cabling…
you must be remove all of the fans, and fans-holders for cabling
.
.
.
.
.
click on the pic to zoom!
.
.
.
.
3., mb in now
and now after removed all fan-holders too (left on the pic),
and then fixed the screws for the mb,
and then made the total cable system,
and then pulledback and fixed with tape all of the cables,
i can drop the mb to chassis
.
4., headache starting….
all cables fixed and inserted
powercords plugged in to the 2 PSU
and when i plugged in the 230V cables the PSUz started (ie.: PSU fans are spinning)
after 1 minute on the MB the BMC led start to blinking, this is ok
but no LED working on the front panel – power on or power failure on something else, nothing
and the power button is not working……
5., troubleshooting…..
many years of IT supporting behind my back
so, we tried to fix this issue
- checked all cabels, all connections, the CPUz, the memory modules, checked and tried everything…
- no luck
- ok, disassembling the MB, and then try with another simple PSU
- and it’s working! – simple connected to a chieftec 450w PC PSU, closed the power pins on the board and it’s powered up and running
- then i investigated those 2 redundant 800w psu in the chassis
- and the resolve: one of them isn’t working, i don’t know anything whats the problem with it, but it isnt working
- when im plugged in only the good psu, connected the electric power and then it is working good
- ok MB re-assembling to the chassis, re-cableing, re-connecting everything
- and VOILA! power leds are working on the front panel, buttons are working, MB can be powered on
- one thing only, the chassis and its psu controller beeping about the missing psu
- then i found the buzzer reset
at the top-right side of HDD backpanel
you need a screwdriver or something else for reseting
i simply disassembled the intrusion detection switch and temporarily plugged in, funny but it is working
i sentback the bad psu, and drop a question to the seller, how can be redundant this chassis if one the psu dead and then the MB isn’t starting?
so, that’s all…
now i’m installing the beyondtv, and testing
got 4 tuner cards now
these are the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2200, EU versions of hauppauge cards
the package:
interest, because all of paper docs are in German language
interest, because default bracket is the low-profile
interest, because of bracket holding screws
interest, because the card was on the bottom of the pack, everything were on it, but there is a separated space in the box for the card only – made in indonesia
these interest things repeated in all 4 package
2 questions:
1 – what are those white connectors on the board?
2 – all card have got MAC address! why?
UPDATE! 2009.aug.7.
the correct driver for it: http://www.wintvcd.co.uk/drivers/HVR-22x0_7_6_1_27118_WHQL.zip
it is fixing the Code 10 on Xp and Vista too, the card is working!
before install the new driver, u must use the uninstaller: hcwclear.exe
yes, another one from SuperMicro, another type, not that what i’m planned, but this is better…
it is 836TQ-R800B
16 x 3.5″ Hot-swappable SATA Drive Bays / Slim DVD-ROM Drive / 800W Redundant Power Supply
3x 80mm Hot-swap PWM Fans / 2x 80mm Rear-exhaust Fans / Adjustable Air Shroud
